Mile High Karate Activities Pass

Dear Mile High Karate Student &/or Parents,

I'm very please to announce a new program for Mile High Karate students designed to simplify your participation in our program, to help you budget the events and activities provided by Mile High Karate – and, to help our instructors improve the quality of our classes and teaching activities.

That new program is called the “Mile High Karate Activities Pass.”

REGISTER HERE!

Before explaining more about what it is I'd like to share with you the why – why we are improving our processes right now – and, frankly what's in it for you – and, for us.

The idea came from becoming aware of two internal challenges:

  1. We were encountering families who were unable to participate in some events due to temporary financial challenges – or, because of a need to budget their finances. We felt it was necessary to really evaluate this as a challenge since Intramural Tournaments are in fact, a testing requirement and failing to participate may have serious consequences especially at the brown belt, Black Belt preparation, and Black Belt levels.

  2. Next, we found our instructors were spending a lot of time with the registration process and handling paperwork for student participation. In fact, for improving the event itself – they really needed to spend more – not less – time on paperwork, organization, and other administrative details unrelated to teaching and student development. We really want our professional Mile High Karate teachers to spend as close to 100% of their time as possible on student service, teaching, and student support – not on administrative details.

Given these challenges – all of our staff “brainstormed” for the past 9 months – and, came up with what we feel is a win, win, win (for the parents, the students, and for us.)

The activities pass addresses each of the two challenges and others:

First. It creates closer to 100% participation in events necessary for curriculum growth and mastery that are required for belt tests. In other words, we expect to end up with closer to 100% of our students at each event. This is a win for the student – and, for us to have higher quality student development.

Second. It equalizes family budgeting by taking the total investment in intramurals and in Black Belt extravaganzas and dividing by 12 – thus, budgeting monthly.

Third. by giving a discount from the cost otherwise – thus, reducing your over-all cost through the year of the events.

Fourth. It gives our instructors more time to spend with students in test and event preparation as well as one-on-one student interaction - taking away the need for them to spend ANY time on administration paperwork and other non-teaching activities.

Fifth. It improves our ability to organize events – and, to streamline the “check-in” process at the door – and, at the rings. Thus making the events run smoother – and, making them a lot more fun (for us too!)

Given what we see as huge advantages for our students, their families, and our instructors of this new system – we will begin requiring ALL new students to participate in the activities pass program beginning September 1 st , 2004 .

The monthly tuition for the activities fee is only $19.97 per month and covers participation in all Intramural Tournaments and, Spectator Passes to the Intramural Tournaments. Additionally, the fee also includes spectator passes to Black Belt Extravaganzas. This is a fairly significant discount from the normal – already discounted – master-club member registration cost for these events.

However, since your family enrolled before this system is in place you have a choice to participate.

Since we know that some people resist change – no matter how difficult and convoluted the old system was – or, how simple and inexpensive the new system is – we have decided to go to ridiculous lengths to “ ethically bribe ” you – and, all of our families to convert to this new system.

Obviously, the old system will gradually be totally phased out over the next couple of years.

If you register your family now for the activities pass, before September 12 th at the latest you'll receive the following “ethical bribes” from Mile High Karate -- for absolutely – no additional cost.

These free gifts to you are in total worth more than $475 – that's $195 MORE than you'll invest in the activities fee billing between now and January 2006 !

4. Guarantee of No Price Increases on the activities pass for event for 24 Months and probably longer. This is a $100 savings – or, more.

5. 25% Discount on All Equipment that you need or want that is available at www.MileHighKarate.com - we have over 3,000 martial arts supply products available at web site including all required pads and other martial arts equipment. One equipment required by curriculum this is a $75 savings. The savings could be much more depending upon what items you want. (The 25% discount is available on all martial arts equipment sold at our web site other than books sold by Amazon.com)

Just, to reinforce what was mentioned earlier – basically – we are giving you all of the events for the next year – free – and an additional $200 in free bonuses – just to encourage you to register now for the activities pass.

Why would we so aggressively “bribe” you to participate??

Well, obviously we fee VERY strongly about a couple of things.

First, we want you to participate in 100% of the events, and never have a budgetary constraint to miss an event.

Second, we are taking MASSIVE effort to dramatically improve the quality of our service to all students – and, this will dramatically improve our ability to focus on students – not, wasteful administrative paperwork at each school. (by the way, this is also the reason why we have set up www.MileHighKarate.com for purchasing supplies – and, why we farm out billing, payroll, and many other administrative functions)

Also, to tell you the truth – this system will streamline and simplify our event operations – and, same us money keeping track of these things – a savings we are passing on to you.

Please, do us both a favor and register for the September Intramural – and, for the activities pass right now. If you are already registered for that event – register now for the activities pass.

The activities pass is good for all events starting in October 2004. You pay nothing now – the monthly tuition will begin in October for the $19.97 (or, discounted fee for additional family members.)

What's included for your $19.97 tuition?
